Camerawork
·
Made the object the centre of attention in a
close up filling up the frame
·
Medium close up of the main character to show a
little environment
·
Tilt up used to show the character doing
something and his reaction
·
Slow zoom in on what he is reading maybe to show
it is important in a POV
·
Medium close of another character to show
feelings and emotions
·
Dialogue is linked to camera shot and shows
emotions after
·
Change of angle to a long shot to show more of
his surroundings
·
Pan to follow him walking out of the door
·
Arrangement of the frame allows us to see more
than one thing.
·
You could use frames within frames
·
Move back with him walking, could have used a
track
·
He can move quicker than the camera to fill up
the frame or walk past
·
Over the shoulder shot which arcs to the other
side of him putting his headphone in
·
Head on close up to show emotion
·
Reverse shot to the match on action
·
If you make character films get in close to your
characters
·
Steady camera movement
Mise en scene
· Official objects to express status
· Other people and how they react to the main
character give us an idea of what his position is in relation to the other
person.
· Show off the environment in a zoomed out shot
· Weather ties in with the emotion
· Props are used
· Appearance can show a lot about the person
(loosened tie- casual)
· Scenes that give a little feel as to where the
film is based
·
Sound
· Production title music in sync with the
production title
· Asynchronous sounds with animated title.
· Ambient sound. Foley sounds. Suggests the scene.
· Exaggerated sound to show it’s a big deal
· Voice
over can signify vital information
· Ambient sound of busy street
· Voice over introduces music
Dialogue is heard throughout the few seconds of black screen,
before presenting the film
Editing:
Titles slide in, seems to be consumed by the film as they
both appear on the screen.
· Cut to next scene shots
· The set up ties in with the editing of each
scene
· Close up on reactions and emotions
· Master shot to refer back to which is the most
used shot
· Camera zoomed out to show where he is
· Variation of camera shots are good to utilise
· Shot reverse shot can be used for actions and
objects
· Sound match on action is good to use
· Slow motion on along with match on action
Editing should have the continuity quality to it
throughout
